Walking In The Cotswolds
The Wysis Way
The Wysis Way provides a link between the Rivers Wye, Severn and
Thames and between the two National Trails of Offa's Dyke Path and The Thames
Path.
The route runs for 55 miles from Offa's Dyke at Monmouth through the
Forest of Dean rising up to the Cotswold Hills and ending at the source of the
River Thames at Trewsbury Meadow. Other long distance routes are connected
including the Severn Way, the Gloucestershire Way and the Cotswold Way.

Follow
the coloured arrows that will guide you along the correct route. They
can be found on gateposts, trees and stiles, they can be metal, plastic
or painted, but always look around you to find them as the signs may be
damaged or faded. All public footpaths on explorer maps are marked with a green
dashed line and national trails and long distance paths are in green with diamond shapes linking the dashes.
