The Villages Of The Cotswolds
Rodmarton
The Village
There are pleasant cottages surrounding the small green but the building of note is the manor house designed in the Arts &
Crafts style by Ernest Barnsley in 1909-1926 & built for Claud Biddulph. The gardens are also worth the visit.
Pollarded trees create an archway into the churchyard where there are a number of fine tombs leading to the door. Once inside
theinterior is rather plain having been subject to a "make-over" by the Victorians.
South West of the village is Windmill Tump, a Neolithic long barrow with two porthole entrances.
A collection of weapons discovered during excavations are housed at the British Museum in London.
