The 11th Chipping Norton Jazz Festival, now rebranded as Chippy Jazz, will include:
Free jazz gigs at 8 venues around the town from 12.00am to 11.00 pm. An Afternoon Of Swing with the Chipping Norton School All Stars Jazz Band in the Chipping Norton Theatre at 2.30pm - tickets £8. Evening Concert - an evening of toe-tapping 1920s/30s jazz, comedy, vocals and fun with the sensational Megs Etherington's 8-piece "HOKUM" Jazz Band, featuring Debbie Arthurs, Nick Gill, Norman Field and Spats Langham - Chipping Norton Town Hall at 8.00pm. - tickets £14 including free pre-show drink. Event arranged by Chipping Norton Rotary.All proceeds will go to sponsoring the Chipping Norton Theatre and supporting Polio Eradication..

Battle! - Jousting & Medieval Weekend. Bloody Battles galore throughout the weekend with jousting knights, archers, hand to hand combat and general gore! The Knights of Middle England return to Sudeley with their thrilling jousting tournament, bringing alive the pageantry, honour and chivalry from this colourful middle age. A full-scale competitive tournament with bold, bright and beautiful costumed knights and horses performing heroic stunts, intense high speed action, a comic compere and our very own jester. This show will thrill young and old as the knights display their skills in the games and then challenge their opponent as they thunder with lance and shield along the tilt to deal a heavy blow to their enemy. Re-enactment group, The Plantagenets, will be demonstrating mock foot battles, archery, weapons training, foot tournaments and much more in an action packed weekenend.
