The 18th century Tunnel House is situated next to the Thames & Severn Canal near Coates. The pub is along a rather rough track but a great welcome
awaits those who venture along it.
The landlord offers good food, not particularly cheap, but as the image shows, plenty to fill even the biggest appetite.
The ambience is of a beamed ceiling with a bewildering array of bric-a-brac, log fires, welcoming on a cold winter's evening.
There is a selection of wines & real ales from local breweries Archers & Wickwar plus the usual selections of lagers,
ciders & soft drinks.
Children are made welcome plus there is a playing area & garden.
There is a small camping area which
is a welcomed place to stop if you are walking either the Monarchs Way or Macmillan Way, both of which passes through the grounds.
