With all the character of our hotel and the beauiful location, your stay with us could not be more relaxing. From the moment you enter the Tudor House Hotel, you take a step back in time. Steeped in history, there is much to discover in this ancient building: a chimney in the Mayor's Parlour conceals a priest's hole and axe marks reputedly made by Cromwell's soldiers can be seen on the old oak door leading to the secret garden. The hotel provides 14 delightful bedrooms, all with a private bathroom. For that special occasion we have a very special room: The Adam Suite with its magnificent bay window and four poster bed. If you are celebrating a special occassion, of simply want to make your stay with us more pleasurable, we can arrange for fresh flowers or chilled champagne to be in your room on your arrival. There are many interesting days out to be had in this charming town: *Quaint alleyways to explore; mostly originating from the 17th century. *Guided walks around the Civil War Battle Trail - Tewkesbury was the setting for the last important Battle of the Roses. *The magnificent Norman Abbey, idyllically situated in delightful grounds with rolling fields beyond. *Boat trips, river cruises and riverbank walkways. Tewkesbury is situated only 9 miles from the delightful town of Cheltenham Spa with its elegant shopping arcades and gracious terrace houses. Enjoy the International Festival of Music in July and a Jazz Festival in April, as well as superb parks and gardens, street side cafes, stylish shopping, museums, galleries and of course the race course.
