The inn, most pleasantly situated overlooking the old village green. The bar has a list of the inn's landlords, dating back to before the Civil War, when it was a Royalist owned hostelry.

The restaurant serves the best English and Continental food, fine wine and traditional ales. What is so special about us? The twelve comfortable en suite bedrooms all have modern facilities. The Red Lion can cater for small weddings and private functions of up to fifty people, or small conferences with up to ten delegates.

Long hidden features discovered during restoration indicate that this ancient Royalist owned hostelry dates from before the English Civil War. A list of landlords since 1690, which proudly retained, is displayed in the bar where traditional ales and fine wines are served from our cool cellars. The Red Lion Restaurant serves traditional English and Continental country fare in a restaurant of character. The Restaurant is of withstanding quality on two distinct levels and capable of separation if required. Seats, 44 covers in total comfort. The Function Room is available for smaller occasions; seminars, board meetings or private and more intimate parties with seating of up to 18 depending on the requirements.
