Cottage Description

Island Lodge overlook a beautiful 120 acre private lake in the Cotswolds and is are traditional log houses made in Finland. Extremely comfortable and welcoming, the living room has a cosy woodburner and all the rooms are thoughtfully furnished. The veranda leads on to a spacious sunny decked area with garden furniture, rocking chair and barbecue facilities. There are stunning views across the lake especially on moon-lit nights! The Lake has excellent fishing opportunities for pike, perch, tench and roach, boat and life jacket provided. There is a resident nightingale colony, and a wealth of unusual flora and fauna. A 2 mile perimeter walk surrounds the lake where it is possible to admire and enjoy this beautiful and unique estate, whatever the season.

Cirencester is 4 miles away. Cheltenham, Broadway and Burford are within easy driving distance. Please see owner's website and 360 views. Island Lodge and Moondara can be booked together for 12 people the lodges are approx 300 meters apart.

Island Lodge offers 2 king size (zip and link beds, please advise when booking how you would like the beds making up), bathroom with shower over bath & underfloor heating, living room overlooking lake with woodburner, separate kitchen, outside deck area with jetty and boat.
