A visit to the Cotswold Woollen Weavers mill and museum will bring the medieval wool trade alive. Visitors to the working mill and museum will be met by the clack of the loom-shuttles and the smell of wool oil and to be amazed watching the mill owners turning fleece into fabric using the age-old craft and machinery to produce garments and cloth for sale in the mill shop.
Amid the clatter of the looms, visitors can tour the 18th century woollen mill to discover the story of Cotswold wool and how it has shaped the heritage of this area. Discover the art of wool spinning and weaving and learn about the Cotswold breed of sheep, which helped to create the wealth of the Cotswolds towns and villages.
After spending an hour or two browsing take time to enjoy a cup of coffee in the small coffee shop.
